Atlas and desert

Roads, tracks, mountain landscapes and cultural stops. Every trip confirms its own itinerary.

Direct advice

Discuss your experience, preparation, health and vehicle with Ángel before deciding.

Safety and preparation

Important before an extreme Atlas route

An off-road mountain trip involves changing conditions and places far from immediate services. Preparation starts before you arrive.

Health and vaccinations

There are no current mandatory vaccinations for international travellers, but individual advice should be requested in advance. Rural medical facilities can be limited.

Insurance included by the organisation

Civil liability and participant repatriation insurance are provided. The specific policy conditions are shared or confirmed before each departure.

Personal cover

Participants should assess medical, travel, cancellation, luggage and vehicle cover for their own circumstances.

Minors

Prior approval is essential. Suitability, guardianship, passports and any required travel authorisation are checked before acceptance.

Altitude and weather

The Atlas can bring intense sun, cold nights, snow, heat and rapid changes. The itinerary may be adapted for safety.

Vehicle and driving

Tyres, recovery points, maintenance and suitable insurance matter as much as driving experience. Never leave the planned group route.

Always check current official information. Entry and health advice can change. Review the official Morocco travel advice and seek advice from an International Vaccination Centre.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own 4x4?

It depends on the departure. The vehicle arrangement is shown on each trip page and must be confirmed before travelling.

Does the organisation provide insurance?

Yes. The organisation provides civil liability and participant repatriation insurance. The scope, limits and conditions applicable to the departure are confirmed before the trip.

Should I also take out personal travel insurance?

It is advisable to carry personal medical and travel insurance suited to an off-road trip. The organisation’s civil liability and repatriation cover does not necessarily replace your own medical, cancellation, luggage or other personal cover.

Are any vaccinations compulsory for Morocco?

There are currently no vaccination requirements for international travellers. Recommendations depend on your health and itinerary, so consult an International Vaccination Centre sufficiently in advance.

Can minors take part?

Participation by a minor must always be discussed and approved in advance, taking account of age, route difficulty and accommodation. A valid passport and any travel authorisation required when not travelling with all legal guardians must be carried.

Is the Atlas suitable for everyone?

No. Altitude, cold or heat, long stages, uneven tracks and limited access to medical care require realistic physical and driving preparation. Each trip page states its expected difficulty.

What documents do I need?

Carry a valid passport and check the current entry rules. If taking a vehicle, bring the original vehicle documents, driving licence, insurance and authorisation if you are not its owner.

What should I pack?

Bring layered clothing, sun protection, personal medication, water capacity and footwear suited to the route. The final list depends on season, altitude and accommodation and is confirmed before departure.

What happens if the weather changes?

Mountain conditions may require the guide to change a section, timetable or itinerary. Safety and the state of tracks take priority over completing the original plan.

Can I book online?

No. The website provides information and starts a direct conversation. There are no online payments or automatic bookings.

Are group and private trips available?

The available format is shown for each departure. You can also ask Ángel about a private proposal.
